West Fourth Street Apartments

The California Housing and Finance Agency (CHFA) was the sponsoring agency in conjunction with a private developer for the creation of these fifty nine units of low to moderate income housing. The project includes several levels of stepped hillside layout and two levels of subterranean parking garage. Amenities at the project include recreation areas for both adult and children residents.
Some parking requirements eased up significantly for eligible housing, and other legislation ensured that California’s Density Bonus Law—which offers development incentives and greater density allowances for affordable and senior housing.
